Whenever I am tuning crankbaits to ensure that they are running true I try to make sure that I supertune them. Instead of putting the lure in the water at the side of the boat at trolling speed to check whether it is running true I crank the boat speed up to 4-5 mph and then check the lure. At 4-5 mph all crankbaits either run perfectly true or blow out to one side or the other. Get all your lures running true at high speed and they will all run exactly the same at trolling speed. Slight imperfections in how the lures are running can be missed at slower speeds but the pressure chamber of high speed supertuning ensures that nothing gets missed.
