Most of the time, there will be fish just slightly deeper that the ones that are feeding. Usually you can pick them up on the sonar and they tip you off that fish are in the area. If you see these fish, move one or two lines up high; if the boat is spooking the fish the only way to tell for sure that they are biting walleyes is to actually fish for them. Of course you need to locate the high lines out and off to the side of the boat using your planer boards. Good Luck.
